Settings reference
A tour of every settings tab and what lives in it.
General
- Theme — dark or light.
- Response language — the language the assistant answers in.
- AI models — the Quick/Reasoning pair behind the control bar's tier toggle, and a model per support type (Chat, Coding, System design) applied when an interview starts. This is the only place models are chosen. See Choosing models.
- Layout and response mode — how new sessions open.
Permissions
Runs diagnostics for microphone, screen capture, and audio routing, and links straight to the system privacy pane that needs changing. This is the first place to look when capture or transcription is not working. See Permissions for the full walkthrough.
Hotkeys
Every global shortcut, editable. See Keyboard shortcuts for the full list of defaults.
Interviews
Session defaults — including the pause interval that controls how the app decides one question has ended and the next has begun. Lengthen it for an interviewer who thinks out loud; shorten it for rapid back-and-forth.
Profile & Plan
Your account, current tier, credit balance, and the link into the billing portal to change or cancel your plan.
Prompts
Create and manage custom prompts, with an authoring guide alongside the editor. More →
Roles
Saved roles you interview for, so you are not retyping "Senior Backend Engineer" for every setup.
Updates
Check for a new version, download it, and restart to install. You can also turn off the automatic check that runs shortly after launch. More →
IDE Bridge
A planned VS Code and Cursor extension for pushing code selections into your draft. It is marked as coming soon in the app and is not available in the current build.

Sends a message with diagnostics attached, which gets problems resolved considerably faster than an email describing them from memory.
