Security
What leaves your machine, and what never enters the share.
The overlay is marked as protected content so screen-share APIs skip it. Turns go through our backend to the model providers. We do not claim SOC 2, and we do not sell defeat of proctoring.
Data flow
Three hops, then a response
Nothing is a mystery on purpose. Here is the path a turn actually takes.
On your machine
Captions come from system audio and the microphone. A screenshot is captured only when you press a capture shortcut — not continuously.
Through our API
The desktop app holds no model keys. Turns go to the URHIRED AI backend, which calls the provider you picked for that interview type.
To the model
OpenAI or Anthropic receives the prompt we construct — your message, attached context, and any snip you sent — and returns the answer.
Screen share
Excluded from the shared stream
The overlay is marked as protected content at the OS level, so screen-capture and screen-share APIs skip it. You see captions and answers on your display. The shared frame does not contain them.
- Works with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams when you share a window or your screen — not a browser tab
- You can verify in a call with yourself in thirty seconds
- Not hidden from Activity Monitor, Task Manager, or the app switcher as a running process
- Not built against dedicated proctoring software
What this page is not
There is no SOC 2 badge here, because we have not completed that audit. There is no “undetectable” promise beyond the mechanism: screen-share APIs skip a protected window. Dedicated proctoring, a second camera, or someone looking at your display is outside that mechanism.

Storage
What we keep, and for how long
Turns, not a recording
Audio is processed for live transcription rather than stored as a recording. Screenshots exist only when you capture them. See the privacy policy for retention.
Account and billing
Sign-in, plan, and usage live on our servers. Card payments go through Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
