Mock interviews

The app asks the questions, listens to you, then scores the round. Mock is a session mode on the same setup form as live copilot — Pro and higher.

How a mock round runs: setup, spoken call, then the report.

What it is

Live copilot stays with you in a real interview. Mock interview flips the roles: URHIRED AI is the interviewer. You answer out loud. When you end the session, you get a scored report with highlights and sample answers.

How to start one

  1. 1

Pick Mock interview on the home setup

The live vs mock radios are the first choice on the form. Mock is locked on Free; unlock it in Settings → Plan.
  2. 2

    Choose 20 or 30 minutes

Mock rounds are verbal-only. Chat is selected for you — there is no coding or system design surface in a mock.
  3. 3

Fill role and profile as usual

Resume, job description, and scenario still ground the questions in the company you are targeting.
  4. 4

    Start from the workspace

The hub does not start interviews. Click it to focus the main window, then press Start interview.

During the round

  • A call-stage view keeps the current question in front of you.
  • The interviewer speaks the question (cloud text-to-speech).
  • Capture is microphone-only — the app is listening to you.
  • End the session when the timer runs out, or earlier if you are done.

After

The report tab adds mock-specific highlights, sample answers (including STAR-shaped ones when that is the right shape), and a hire signal. Same history list as live sessions. History & report →
