Walk through the desktop app

This is where you configure a session — profile, live copilot or mock interview, and role — then start. Settings save to your account.

The launcher pill sits on the right edge of the screen, outside this window, and gently pulses so you can find it. Click it to open or focus the main window. Right-click for Open and Quit. Drag vertically to reposition. It does not start an interview.

Live copilot assists during a real interview. Mock interview asks the questions, records your answers, then scores the round. Select one mode for the session.

When setup is complete, Start interview opens the interview workspace.

Screenshot protection is on by default. It keeps this window out of screenshots and screen recordings. It does not hide the app from Activity Monitor, Task Manager, or dedicated proctoring. On Windows, protection turns off interview click-through until you turn protection off. Pin keeps the window on top. Minus and plus adjust opacity.

Hide the overlay instantly if you need a clear screen. The overlay and the hub both disappear. When the window is pinned, this shortcut is the only way to restore them — there is no Dock or taskbar icon.

Live copilot and mock interviews require microphone access. Region capture requires screen recording. Grant both under Settings → Permissions.

Press Append to drop a sample interviewer question — Tell me about yourself — into the draft. Type or paste work the same.

A region capture attaches under the draft, like this. Later steps teach the capture shortcuts.

The bar runs the session: timer, Quick vs Reasoning, web search, answer style, Auto vs Manual, mute, font size, and Exit.

Capture a screen region when the prompt is on screen, not in audio. Region capture does not change the cursor or put the selection in the meeting share. Captures stay on this device until you send.

Analyze screen region selects an area and sends it to the assistant in one step.

Send on the draft submits the question and any screenshots.

Click-through sends clicks through the overlay to the meeting. The hub stays clickable. Blocked on Windows while screenshot protection is on.

Decrease opacity makes the workspace background more transparent. Controls stay solid.

Increase opacity makes the workspace more opaque.
